Who we are

Winston Bao Lord builds complex partnerships and coalitions behind big, mission-driven ideas. As Executive Director of the Washington Baseball Club, he helped bring Major League Baseball back to Washington, D.C. after 34 years, assembling an investor group that included General Colin Powell, President Bush's Campaign Manager Fred Malek, President Biden's Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, and AOL founding chairman Jim Kimsey. He began his career in political advertising, creating presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional campaigns that earned 19 national awards. He later co-founded a hospitality tech company acquired by Fortune 250 Booking Holdings, served as OpenTable’s Chief Evangelist, and developed content for brands including National Geographic, Radio Flyer, and Priceline.

He is now moving quickly on early development of a premium, feel-good unscripted series in partnership with TAPS, the leading nonprofit supporting surviving families of fallen servicemembers. Working title: Father of the Bride.

Each episode follows a bride whose father died in service as she prepares for one of life’s biggest milestones. The series lives in the real tension of joy and grief coexisting, with no manufactured conflict and a family-first approach. Every story builds to a wedding-day “moment of honor” designed to feel earned and deeply respectful, supported by trauma-informed production guardrails developed with TAPS. The project is actively being packaged now, alongside early brand conversations focused on underwriting tangible support for families without steering editorial.
